I love Arizona so much I’ve gone three times in the last year. Something about escaping the fog of San Francisco and heading to the desert totally switches me into vacation mode. Scottsdale is my favorite city in Arizona and I recently got the chance to stay at W Scottsdale this month. Here are seven reasons to stay at this fun and lively property.
1. The pool
If you’re coming to Arizona, pool time has to be on your itinerary. Say hello to Scottsdale’s only chilled pool. The WET Deck at W Scottsdale is perfect for relaxing at on a weekday or partying at on the weekend. I visited during the week and this is a pool meant for lounging at, so grab a drink and soak in the sun. Grab a daybed, first come first served!
2. The lobby
The fun at W Scottsdale starts with the lobby. Stepping into the lobby puts you in The Living Room, a bar and lounge with live music Wednesday through Saturday. You may have caught a glimpse of it in my Scottsdale vlog from earlier this year!
3. The rooms
W Scottsdale has stylish and chic guest rooms complete with all the creature comforts. Stocked with Bliss body products and Nespresso, they also offer one of the most comprehensive mini bars I’ve seen. Think booze, hangover kits, and even condoms. The rooms are modern and sexy, so perfect for a girls trip or romantic couple getaway.
4. Sushi Roku
No time to plan where to eat? Do yourself a favor and eat at Sushi Roku. This popular Japanese restaurant has locations across Las Vegas and California, offering a killer selection of sushi, robata, and more. Even if you don’t eat seafood, there are plenty of amazing options like wagyu beef and karaage chicken. Their signature cocktails are outstanding as well.
5. Free rental bikes
It’s always sunny in Scottsdale, and a bike ride is the perfect way to get a bit of fresh air. The bikes are free for guests to rent, just stop by the front desk to get rolling. The white beach cruisers are totally Instagram-worthy, complete with a basket to tote your things in. Scottsdale is flat and extremely accessible on bike. Keep an eye out for the new murals scattered around town!
6. Location
W Scottsdale is in the heart of all the action. Just look at it on the map, it’s the perfect location situated in the heart of Scottsdale’s nightlife district. Art galleries, shopping, wine bars, and clubs are all within walking distance.
