I didn’t clear through the normal heap of products I do in a typical empties round-up, but trust me, November’s will be long. It seems to go in waves; some months there is a huge pile and others are kind of small. Last month I also did a good bit of traveling, with weekends in Lake Tahoe, CA and then Charleston, SC, I relied on my travel supplies for a bit so that’s probably a main factor in why this month’s empties stash is small.
Please check out the video and look for all the products mentioned listed below.
CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation
Making numerous appearances on my blog and YouTube channel, I want you to know that this is one of my favorite foundations from the drugstore, and I’m pretty picky. I love the coverage, lasting power, and finish this product gives. Great if you’re on a budget and need something that’ll last all day.
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder
I recommend this powder to anyone who’s looking for a minimal coverage powder to set their makeup with, touch up, or mattify their skin. It’s useful for all three of those things and it’s obviously affordable. One of the best finds at the drugstore!
Up & Up Shave Gel
This is my go-to shave gel and it makes a cameo on here at least once every month. This is the best shave gel out there, and you can find it at the store you shop at all too much… Target!
Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover
This is a relatively new must-have item in my nail care routine. I use it once every 1-2 weeks just to maintain soft cuticles, and help dissolve any jagged or torn edges. My nail beds and cuticles can get pretty tore up and sore if I over wash or use harsh soaps, so I try to remember to moisturize and use cuticle oil as often as I can. For the days I slip up, this product from Sally Hansen comes in handy!
Yes to Carrots Daily Cream Facial Cleanser
This cleanser didn’t knock my socks off, but I do appreciate that it’s cruelty- and paraben-free. and nearly 100% natural. The formula was too creamy for my taste and it didn’t lather up under water. People with drier skin might enjoy this product more than I, but for me there are plenty of better cleansers out there.
Batiste Dry Shampoo in Blush
Yet another product I blow through every month, Batiste Dry Shampoo is a product I’ll almost never be caught without. I also like the dry shampoo by Dove, but this is my old faithful.
LUSH Ma Bar
While I prefer the Comforter Bubble Bars, Ma Bar had a pleasant brown sugar and faint cocoa scent that was relaxing and soothing. I think this product makes a great gift, and it’s one of the more sophisticated scents from LUSH.
LUSH Fun
This product has the texture of PlayDoh and it might be a lot of fun for kids, but it’s definitely not a favorite of mine. The scent was nice, but nothing I’d go out of my way to buy. The product needed a lot of help dissolving in the tub and is more of a novelty than anything. This product also made my boyfriend break out in a mild itchy rash, so beware! I have really sensitive skin yet didn’t experience irritation at all. Just double check the ingredients before you buy!
Clarins Eye Contour Gel
As you hear in the video, I’m not too impressed with this product because it left my undereyes feeling wet and sticky. I’m not sure what kind of skin type this would be good for because even with oily skin, your eye area tends to still need extra moisture.
