I’m always on the hunt for the next best thing when it comes to pampering and shopping. Earlier this month I got to check out Bluemercury for a facial, which I was in dire need of. Located inside of Macy’s Stanford, the boutique and spa carries thousands of specialty beauty products beyond what ordinary makeup counters offer. Brands like Darphin, Avène, and their very own flagship label, M-61, can be found at Bluemercury and incorporated into your skincare treatment. Bluemercury also offers waxing and makeup application services, plus body massage at select locations.
The Modern Facial is a 50 minute treatment including basic cleansing, manual exfoliation, extractions, a mask, and an oxygen treatment. The amazing Marina delivered my facial using products from various brands tailored to my exact skin needs. This is a perfect entry level facial for any customer, of any skin type. The oxygen treatment at the end was a soothing and revitalizing finale I’ve never experienced before, even as an experienced skin treatment client. It’s rumored to be a favorite treatment of Oprah and Duchess Kate, and I now understand why!
Given the selection of highly coveted and hard-to-find brands, I think this is a store fit for any beauty fanatic. Combined with the diverse product selection and spa menu, there’s something here for everyone. Whether you’re a teen with acne concerns, or a person with sensitive skin and ingredient allergies, you can find something suited for your needs. Definitely worth a browse through with holiday gift shopping in mind, and there are so many locations in the Bay Area!
