Can anyone out there literally believe January is already over? Yet since I didn’t do a December faves, it feels especially long since I last shared my monthly favorites with you all. I’m back today with a bunch of new goodies, plus an old faithful. I hope your year is off to a great start and your resolutions are well underway!
Watch the video below for the full scoop. Shop the products below, too!
Shiseido Facial Cotton
Believe the hype – these cotton squares are pure luxury. They feel like little plush cotton clouds and make my Target cotton squares seem like sandpaper. Worth the splurge, even if you can only rationalize using 1/2 of a square per day.
Dr. Dennis Gross Extra Strength Alpha Beta Peel Pads (c/o)
I’ve been a long time fan of these peel pads and they’re no stranger to the blog. I use these pads two to three nights per week to keep my skin polished and smooth, and my pores on my nose tight and clear. If you suffer from prominent clogged pores and wear foundation daily, I consider this routine skin maintenance that needs to be done.
GLAMGLOW BRIGHTMUD Eye Treatment
If you suffer from puffy or dark undereyes, you should consider giving this awesome product a try. It’s very unique on the market, and actually works! This treatment definitely tingles, but depuffs and brightens undereye circles instantly so it’s perfect for night owls and workaholics like myself. Or for those who just love at-home mini spa treatments.
LA Girl Glazed Lip Paint in Whimsical
I picked up this product at IMATS LA this month, and it was one of the best bargain products I found. This is an amazing highly pigmented lip gloss that feels more like a liquid lipstick or glaze. Whimsical is a lilac-pink that reminds me of MAC Saint Germain or Snob. At only $3.50, I can’t wait to pick up more colors!
Kryolan Lip Stain in Dance
This is my favorite 90s lip of the moment. It’s matte, mauve, easy to apply, and wears a really long time. It’s super pigmented, as well. I picked this product up on a whim, and I’m really glad I did!
OCC Lip Tar in Harlot
I feel like I’m the last beauty blogger on the planet to try one of these. OCC makes some incredible, highly opaque (are we seeing a trend here?), lip colors. Application can be a bit tricky since you have to use a lip brush, but the tiniest speck of product will coat your entire mouth. Harlot is a beautiful orange-red that is very Taylor Swift-esque. You know, that red lip, classic, thing that you like.
Sephora Formula X Nail Polish in Explosive
Big Lots is overflowing with nail polish right now, and if you’re lucky you may score some Sephora by OPI or Sephora Formula X! I scored this gorgeous holographic glitter for only $1.50 and it makes my nails look like a million bucks. Layered over a glossy black base, I like to call it my black opal manicure. It’s seriously stunning.
Did you try any standouts in January? I would love to know in a comment below!
