Want to try Liquid IV but need a better idea of the flavors? Let me break down the best Liquid IV flavors for you! Liquid IV is something I have a few times per week as an electrolyte pick-me-up. Though they have a few different versions to boost energy or immunity or even help aid with sleep, the classic Hydration Multipliers are where it’s at. I wanted to share what I think are the best flavors plus descriptions of what they taste like.
When do I use Liquid IV? Sometimes it’s in the morning, other times it’s in the afternoon in place of a second cup of coffee. Just mix one stick packet with 16oz of water to prepare the drink. Use less water if you like something a little more concentrated and sweet. Anytime that I’d reach for a Gatorade, I have Liquid IV instead. I pack it with me when I travel, I reach for it when I’m feeling under the weather, and it’s my go-to for any level of hangover.
When I’m better hydrated, I have more mental clarity and I feel like I can operate at full speed. So I use Liquid IV as just that, a supplement, to a healthy diet and exercise routine, but moreover just day to day life. If you were thinking of making the switch from traditional sports drinks, Liquid IV is both lower in calories and sugar than Gatorade. Plus it has more electrolytes. I also just prefer the flavors of Liquid IV over Gatorade across the board.

Best Liquid IV Flavors
Yellow Cherry
Though this is a limited edition flavor, it has to be one of my favorites to recommend. Yellow Cherry tastes just like a cherry Icee or Slurpee, giving all the 90s nostalgia flavor. Limited edition flavors like this are only sold on the Liquid IV site, and they tend to go fast.
Lemon Lime
This was the first Liquid IV flavor I ever tried, and it’s still a favorite to this day. The slight saltiness reminds me of a margarita. Lemon Lime Liquid IV tastes distinctly more tart and less sweet from the other flavors on this list, in my opinion.
Strawberry
Strawberry Liquid IV wasn’t an immediate favorite of mine, but it quickly grew on me. It’s a strawberry with a hint of baked shortcake to it, so it’s unlike other strawberry flavored beverages. The more I tried it, the more I liked it.
Passionfruit
If you want to try one flavor from this list, make it Passionfruit. Passionfruit Liquid IV to me tastes just like Hawaiian Punch. It’s sweet and fruity, not necessarily an authentic passionfruit taste.
Guava
This is my newest favorite Liquid IV flavor. Guava is a sweet tropical taste that’s zesty and balanced with a kiss of saltiness. Similar to Lemon Lime, the salty component is also accentuated in this flavor.
What other flavors are there to try? Well I haven’t yet tried Acai Berry, Watermelon, or Apple Pie. Past limited edition flavors like Pina Colada weren’t my fave, but that’s just because I’m not really a pina colada kind of person. And if you want to get adventurous you could absolutely mix Liquid IV into popsicles or blended drinks too!
