The last day of the month means it’s favorites time! The following five products are items I haven’t yet raved about on my blog yet, so I’m pretty excited to share my rave reviews. Here are the products I was loving most this August.
MAC False Lashes Mascara
MAC mascaras have a pretty bad reputation online, but I’m not one to always follow the pack. I scooped up this mascara on a whim at the outlets and I’m quite impressed! The brush is a cone shape that is good at getting both your inner tiny lashes and outermost longer lashes. If you like volumizing mascara, this is a good one because the formula is fairly dry yet doesn’t clump like my other favorite volumizing mascara, the L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black. It’s volumizing but not extremely dramatic, so it’s perfect for everyday wear.
Essie Fiji
If you haven’t yet heard of this cult favorite nail polish yet, let me introduce you to your new favorite polish. I did three consecutive manicures with this polish this month because it’s such a lovely shade. It’s a clean baby pink that is opaque in two coats that produces the cleanest looking manicure ever. Whether worn alone or topped with a glitter, this color is perfect for year-round wear.
CND Solar Oil
If you paint your nails a lot, you don’t have time for dry, icky cuticles. This miracle oil conditions your cuticles and absorbs into the skin so nicely. It smells of sweet almond oil and is just a treat to apply and indulge in. I’ve seen a noticeable improvement in the health and condition of my cuticles, so this is now a permanent fixture in my nail care routine.
Out The Door Fast Drying Top Coat
I’m quite picky when it comes to nail polish top coats, and Seche Vite is the only polish I could previously call a favorite, that is until now. Out The Door is cheaper and is rumored to last a lot longer than Seche Vite. While I love the thick gel consistency and glossy finish Seche Vite gives, it turns into a thick and goopy polish that becomes to hard to use. Out The Door dries fast and gives the super glossy finish I look for.
Alba Un-Petroleum Multi-Purpose Jelly
For those times when hand cream just doesn’t cut it, I break out the big guns like this. This works like a petroleum jelly, but it’s thicker and more rich. It’s also totally petroleum-free, as it’s made from totally vegetarian ingredients. I don’t see myself buying Vaseline ever again.
Let me know your favorite products of the month in a comment. I’m always on the hunt for the next best thing!
