If you want to know what’s in my bag on a daily basis, I can guarantee you’ll find at least one SLG. I’ve had a recent love affair with and appreciation for small leather goods, so much so I wanted to share it on the blog. They’re a little piece of luxury you can enjoy on a daily basis, and they’re a whole less flashy than a designer handbag. If you pick them carefully, they can last you a lifetime. Here’s a quick look at my SLG collection featuring some great entry level options from Chanel and Louis Vuitton.
This is my latest luxury acquisition, and definitely my most favorite. Something about the sound of the crisp snap closure and my fingers against the glossy grained leather feels like magic. This card holder can comfortably fit 10 cards in it without distorting its shape. You can find this cardholder permanently in black or red and with silver or gold hardware, but keep an eye out for limited edition versions to come or ones on the secondhand market.
If you carry a tote bag regularly, you know the importance of staying organized via pouches. LV makes one of the sturdiest pouches you can find. The classic monogram print is always recognizable and always a classic. This piece is from 2003, so it’s almost vintage. I love using it for storing makeup, snacks, medicine, or even cords within my bag. The exterior is essentially indestructible, making this a piece I’ll get a ton of use from in many more years to come.
My first piece from Coach was not a leather piece, and let me tell you the quality was far from what I’ve experienced with this wallet. I got this piece in 2007 and the leather is still so buttery smooth, with no warped edges or worn seams. This is a fantastic wallet in that it has all the pockets you’d ever need, including a slot perfect for your passport. Check the Coach outlets regularly for quality SLGs like this one.
I would love to know, do you have any SLGs you’re saving up to get? I have some of my current SLGs as well as some of my wish list items in the widget below.
