August is always a great month for favorites because it follows my birthday month… meaning today I’m sharing lots of new things! Recent splurges, steals, and one oldie-but-goodie foundation throwback.
Watch the video below and scroll ahead to get the full scoop on all of the products mentioned.
3.1 Phillip Lim Mini Pashli Satchel
Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale presale always starts on my birthday weekend, which is convenient for me but dangerous for my wallet. This year I picked up the mini pink snakeskin Pashli which has hardly left my side since. It’s the perfect city bag for running around town. I like that it’s also a statement piece I can dress up plain outfits with.
Revlon ColorStay Whipped Crème Foundation in 220 Nude
Contrary to popular belief, this can be a solid summer foundation. I enjoy this foundation most when applied with my Real Techniques Complexion Sponge, which gives it a flawless finish while still remaining lightweight on the skin. It lasts all day long, too!
Kryolan Neutralizer Concealer Circle
If you want to experiment with color correcting, this is the perfect product to try. You get six colors to mix with, all of which are highly pigmented and blendable. I find that when I color correct first, I need less foundation and concealer to achieve a flawless look.
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Blushing Bride
Cutesy name aside, this is a fantastic blush. Somewhere between a pink and bronze, you get this beautiful plummy pink. It’s the longest wearing blush I’ve ever found, and this is my new favorite color in the range! Exposed and Amused are other gems too.
Andalou Naturals Glycolic Brightening Mask
My skin responds really well to acids, so I try to use them a few times each week to combat dead skin and clogged pores. I find that after I use this product, my pores are noticeably tighter and my skin tone is more even. Just because something is natural doesn’t mean it can’t be effective; this mask is a perfect example of that!
Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Unscented Dry Shampoo
Every now and again, you randomly buy something that’s a total home run. This product totally took me by surprise. It’s an amazing dry shampoo that soaks up the oil without leaving a whitecast or a ton of build-up.
What have you been loving this past month? I’d love to know!
Stay tuned for another edition of empties coming up soon. Thanks for reading!
Dry shampoo – YES. My ultimate favorite thing ever invented (especially since I never have time to get ready with a one-year-old). I definitely need to try the Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak!
I LOVE that dry shampoo!!! I use it everyday!
I want to try that dry shampoo, I love their other products!
I want to try the dry shampoo too. It seems very convenient especially for camping.
I want to try out colour correcting more in my routine because I have awful dark circles under my eyes.
