So mark your calendars and grab your tickets now! I’ll be adding to this list as more events are announced, so bookmark this page and check back often. Don’t forget to share it with your Bay Area friends!
Summer 2024 Bay Area Events
Summer Lawn Party Series
May 4
Imagery Winery in Glen Ellen
The Summer Lawn Party Series is back at Imagery Winery again this summer! This family friendly event offers free admission and takes place on the first Saturday of each month. Imagery will bring in a local food truck and live music and you can order glasses or bottles of one of their many delicious wines. Lawn spots are first come first served and picnic tables are available for reserved seating when booked ahead. This event will be happening May 4th, June 1st, July 6th, and August 3rd.
Healdsburg Wine and Food Experience
May 16 – May 19
West Plaza Lot in Healdsburg
The Healdsburg Wine and Food Experience is one of the most premium food festivals I’ve been to. I could go on and on about the wine selection alone! The HWFE grand tasting is the main event where you can grab a glass and plate and graze and taste for hours on end. You can even meet prominent winemakers and celebrity chefs. There are extra events and activities to take advantage of all weekend long. Grand tasting tickets start at $250.
Bottlerock Napa Valley
May 24 – May 26
Napa Expo in Napa
Bottlerock is a music & food festival that officially kicks off summer with a bang every Memorial Day weekend. This year Stevie Nicks, Megan Thee Stallion, Pearl Jam, Maná, Ed Sheeran, and Queens of the Stone Age are the main headliners. Because of the immense focus on cuisine and wine, it’s more than just a music festival. Single day tickets start at $233.
Graton Casino Pool Parties
June 1
Graton Casino in Rohnert Park
Strictly for the 21+ crowd! Graton Casino pool parties are absolutely epic, and this year’s lineup is no different. This year we have Lil Jon on Just 1st, DJ Pauly D on July 13, and DJ James Kennedy on September 14th. Reserve a cabana or premium lounge chair seat for the best viewing experience, or general admission and find a spot in the front pool facing the stage.
Sonoma-Marin Fair
June 20 – June 23
Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds in Petaluma
The Sonoma-Marin Fair is a smaller scale fair, but one absolutely worth checking out in the north bay. There’s great entertainment, for example last year we saw Gavin DeGraw perform. I look forward to seeing this year’s lineup released soon.
Alameda County Fair
June 14 – July 7
Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton
Growing up in the east bay, the Alameda County Fair is one of my long time favorite summer events. It’s absolutely massive and there’s a ton to do from rides to food, to shopping and entertainment. I will definitely be back for the E-40 concert on June 20th!
Taste of Sonoma
June 22
Kendall Jackson Wine Estate & Gardens in Santa Rosa
Winos and foodies, this event here is for you! Taste of Sonoma is a grand tasting experience featuring 100+ wineries, but also beer and food from across Sonoma County. This is a 21+ event and ticket prices start at $190.
Marin County Fair
July 3 – July 7
Marin County Fairgrounds in San Rafael
The Marin County Fair is another one of the Bay Area fairs I’ve been going to since I was a kid. They just have the best food, rides, entertainment and layout that’s easy to navigate. Over the years I’ve seen legendary bands and artists perform here like Steppenwolf and Leann Rimes. This year En Vouge, Ziggy Marley, and Los Lonely Boys are on the summer concert lineup!
Sonoma County Fair
August 1 – August 11
Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa
This will be my first year attending the Sonoma County Fair (and as a SoCo reisdent) so I’m super pumped! Tickets will be on sale for this soon.
Napa Town & County Fair
August 8 – August 11
Napa Expo in Napa
I haven’t yet been to the Napa Fair but it’s coming up this August and given its location I bet the food and wine offering is elite.
Outside Lands
August 9 – August 11
Golden Gate Park in San Francisco
Outside Lands is without a doubt San Francisco’s most prolific music festivals. And the immense line music lineup and food offerings make it a fun time for everyone. Just be sure to wear layers for that intense fog and chilly weather later in the day. Because like Mark Twain allegedly once said, “the coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco.” Three day general admission tickets start at $465.
In conclusion, the Bay Area summer events lineup offers something for everyone, such as music festivals, food fairs, and cultural celebrations. Don’t miss out on the vibrant energy and diverse community that the Bay Area has to offer. Mark your calendar and make the most of this dynamic region and these exciting summer events!
