Welcome to another edition of monthly favorites! I’ve been traveling like crazy this summer and am a bit overdue on this series. Here are all of the products I’ve been loving over the last few months.
Watch the video below and scroll ahead to read more of my thoughts on the products mentioned.
Clarisonic Mia Fit (c/o)
As a longtime fan of the Mia, the new size was easy to fall for. This device cleanses 6x better than with your hands alone, so it gives you a whole new level of clean. Depending on your skin concerns, there are several different brush heads to choose from. And the new Fit size is much more ergonomic and easy to use than the old bulky design.
La Roche-Posay Serozinc
If you’re looking for a facial mist suited for oily or blemish-prone skin, I think you’ll really love this one. It mattifies your skin while not feeling like a makeup setting spray (AKA hair spray for the face). Serozinc feels like real skin care. I went on a serious hunt for this in Europe but I now see you can order this directly from the LRP site in the US, which is super exciting.
Pixi by Petra Hydrating Milky Mist
When my skin is feeling dry or enflamed, this is the mist I reach for. I suffer from eczema so my skin can go from oily/combination one day, to flaky, red, and dry the next. This mist is gentle and soothing, and reminds me a lot of the more expensive dewy mist by Tatcha. This mist is also TSA friendly, making it a travel must-have!
Colorescience Sunforgettable Loose Mineral Sunscreen Brush Broad Spectrum SPF 50 (c/o)
I’ve spoken about this product half a dozen times now on my blog and YouTube channel, but it’s really that good. Everyone needs to remember to reapply sunscreen, and this format is just perfect. First, there’s a built-in brush included with the product. Second, the powder mattifies and gives decent coverage. Third, it works instantly. This is a physical sunscreen with a broad spectrum SPF, which is what I always prefer to use. This is a handbag staple I’ll never be without.
It Cosmetics You Sculpted Palette (c/o)
I’ll admit, I’ve resisted buying into the hype of highlight and contour kits for a long time. It Cosmetics sent me this palette and I finally got around to using it, and it was love at first swatch. These powders are pigmented and blend like a dream. They never appear patchy or streaky on my skin, just glowy and natural. The Radiant Highlight and Soft Contour are perfectly suited for my complexion, but I think a lot of different complexions would love the palette’s shade range. It Cosmetics, you’ve nailed it again!
Sleek Makeup Solstice Highlighting Palette
Need a fleeky highlight? This is your palette. With just a quick dusting of the powder highlights, you’ll be glistening for the gods. There’s even one cream shade in this quad you can layer with for an even more intense look. Again, this is a hard-to-find product in the United States but if you’re taking a trip across the pond soon be sure to look out for this British makeup brand.
Bourjois Paris Mat Illusion Bronzing Powder in Dark
Although this bronzer leans on the orange side, it’s really working for my summer complexion. I apply it normally as a bronzer, but also on the cheeks in place of blush. I just love the warmth it gives, but I understand it might not be for everyone.
Dior Diorshow 3D Maximizer Lash Primer (c/o)
This is one for my fellow voluminous lash lovers. The silky formula of this lash primer will thicken and volumize your lashes to become the perfect base for your mascara. I loved pairing it with the It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara, but any pairing can do!
