Print mixing: if you’re too certain about the combination, then you’re not doing it right. I achieve my most creative combos when I leave my comfort zone, and that’s how I pulled this look together. This flowy blouse is one of my latest Forever 21 finds (they’ve been extra awesome lately), and I dug deep into the depths of my closet to uncover one of my favorite pencil skirts. The skirt is actually from my stint in the corporate world, so that’s how you know it’s old. Somehow, someway, the combination of floral, stripes, and houndstooth all work harmoniously here. Feeling very inspired to find some other monochromatic printed or textured garments to anchor other patterned pieces on!

What’s your favorite print combo? I love me some leopard + stripes, polka dots + florals, and of course stripes + florals.

I used to be afraid of print mixing, but I find I’m getting better at it the more I try it.
Nice!! I tend to stick to solids, but this is subtle and well done!
Adorable! I tend to wear dresses rather than skirts and tops because I love prints and am reluctant to mix prints, but this is so well done!
