This month I have a several new products to share that have been working wonders for my hair and skin. Since my skin is currently in pretty good shape, I’ve been able to ease off heavy coverage foundations and switch to something lighter. And to emphasize my clearer and more even skin, I’ve also switched to using totally matte eye shadow looks, saving pops of color for my lips or nails. Check out my video below to hear all that I have to say about my November faves.
SkinMedica TNS Essential Serum
This serum is incredible, and at a $266 sticker price, I would expect nothing less. I was lucky enough to win this raffle prize at SkinSpirit last month, and this serum is fabulous. Contained in a dual chamber bottle, the creamy side and gel side combine to make a potent serum rich in peptides, antioxidants, and other ingredients that your skin drinks up. This product helps prevent wrinkles, support skin elasticity, even out texture and tone, and fight free radicals. While it smells kind of funky, I love this product for all that it does! It’s definitely helping keep my skin clear and bright since my microdermabrasion appointment a few weeks ago.
Skin 79 BB Cream Triple Function
Since my skin has been doing a lot better recently, I’ve been reaching for lighter coverage face products and my favorite this month was Skin79’s popular BB cream. Packed with SPF 25 PA++, I reach for this every weekday for a medium coverage that will keep my skin protected from the sun. This BB cream is applied best with the warmth of your fingers and you’ll see the gray-undertoned formula warms up to match many different skin tones. It leaves my skin with a nice, dewy finish that is even OK for my oily to combination skin; it just looks healthy and beautiful. This product also mixes well with foundation so you can get a better color match or coverage.
Make Up For Ever HD Powder
This month I found myself reaching for this old favorite since my other powders were leaving marks on my clothes. When you set your foundation and concealer with this powder, it helps prevent those embarrassing makeup stains we can get on the sleeves and collars of our favorite tops, sweaters, and jackets. The only thing worse than makeup transferring on your clothes is when it transfers on someone else’s. I might also mention, since it’s “HD”, this translucent powder gives your skin a poreless and even finish that looks great on film. It keeps oil at bay for a few hours too, so it’s been my go-to finishing powder as of late.
Inglot Eye Shadows in #326, #344, #330
This Inglot palette I created at the Las Vegas store is easily my favorite matte eye shadow trio that can create an entire look with. The cream, dusty lavender, and deep plum shades are all so complimentary and really help accentuate my green eyes. Though they are hard to come by in-person, I think they are absolutely worth trying out even if you can only order them online. Inglot eye shadows are highly pigmented and blend very well. They are absolutely worth the hype and give you a great bang for buck.
DermOrganic Argan Oil Shampoo
DermOrganic was one of those labels I noticed, but never bought due to a lack of buzz. I had never seen any review posts or videos on it before, so when I found a whole set of their products in my iFabbo gift bag, I was curious to give them a go. Free of animal ingredients, parabens, sulfates, pthalates, and other harmful chemicals, this shampoo cleanses my hair very well, helping get rid of dry shampoo and hairspray buildup that accrues during the week. I think the argan oil prevents this shampoo from stripping your hair, while still being really effective at cleansing. While I’m not that fond of the pump bottle, I just love this shampoo and I see it becoming a permanent fixture in my shampoo rotation.
DermOrganic Argan Oil Masque
Containing the same chemical-free and high quality ingredients that the shampoo has, I think I might be even more in love with this masque. I use it about once per week in place of conditioner in the shower. While this masque is super nourishing and hydrating, it still leaves my hair weightless and silky. It rinses clean and just simply left me amazed. I will 100% for sure buy this product when this bottle runs out! And like the shampoo, the masque smells wonderful.
DermOrganic Argan Oil Leave-In Hair Treatment
I love hair oils and this one by DermOrganic is on the lighter side, yet is still very potent. I like to take just a few drops and run it through damp hair, focusing on the ends and taking what’s left on my hands through my roots and scalp. Like the masque, this leaves my hair soft and smooth, yet still weightless and touchable. Plus, it smells amazing like fruit and almond!
The end of the month also means a new empties video and post are on the way. Stay tuned to the blog, and don’t forget to enter my SkinSpirit giveaway that closes tomorrow, December 1st!
FTC disclosure: The SkinMedica serum was a raffle prize I won at SkinSpirit’s bloggers night out. The DermOrganic hair care products were given to me in a gift bag at the iFabbo conference. I am not being compensated for mentioning or giving a favorable review. This is my honest opinion of the products.
