In just about two weeks I’ll be attending a very exciting event here in San Francisco, centered around all things style and social media! It’s called the iFabbo Social Media Conference, and it’s the 2nd annual event of its kind. An event suited for bloggers and brands, this one-day intensive event features a comprehensive schedule of panel discussions and speakers covering a wide range of topics. Through my work in social media and my blogging hobby, I’ve attended many blogger conferences and events, but never one as focused as this when it comes to style blogging. The topics cover every thing from photography and videography, to legal implications and best practices, as well as the future of fashion and beauty online. I think it’ll be suitable for pros and newbies alike, since it’s a fantastic chance to learn and network since so many bloggers and brands will be in the same place at the same time.
Some of the guest speakers I’m most excited to hear from are Marlena Stell of Makeup Geek and Crosby Noricks of PR Couture; two kick ass women who cover different sides of the online style space; one in vlogging and makeup manufacturing, the other in fashion PR and blogging. I encourage you to check out the long roster of speakers since you will certainly recognize some big names and even bigger companies, from both the B2B and B2C side of fashion and beauty in social media.
If you’re in the area, mark your calendar since this will be an event not to miss. I will be there with my sister, Caitlin Pearl, who’s a social media conference first timer. I hope to meet you there, so please don’t be shy if you spot us in the crowd. If you can’t attend please follow all the action under the hashtag #iFabboSFcon; I will surely be live tweeting the whole thing!
