For the first time in my life, I have a closet that can house all of my shoes. And by all of my shoes, I actually mean all the shoes at my place and not the shoes that remain at my parents’ house. While I don’t have the most impressive collection, I’ve collected a foundation of classics and staples over the years that really bring me joy. I also make it a point to donate clothes about once a year, shoes being a good hunk of my haul, just so things don’t get out of hand. And as today’s the first day of spring, I wanted to give you a peek inside my shoe closet for some organization ideas and inspiration.
While this IKEA PAX Wardrobe was already a permanent fixture in the apartment I moved into last year, I can’t think of a more efficient way of storing my shoes. I can easily see and access the pairs I need daily, but also store away shoes that are out of season on the upper shelves. Please enjoy my shoe closet tour and I hope this inspires you to do a little spring cleaning and organizing of your own.

And finally, I thought I might share some of my favorite pairs of shoes. Here are some of the stand out faves I mentioned in the video, clockwise from 12pm:
- Hunter ‘Original Tall’ Rain Boot
- Frye Harness 12R Boot
- TOMS ‘Classic – Glitter’ Slip-On in Black
- Sam Edelman Roza Leather Pumps
- Tory Burch ‘Sally 2’ Peep Toe Wedge Pump
