Happy spring! It’s the turn of the season and the perfect time for a decor refresh. I’ve been taking bags and bags of stuff out for donations, meanwhile bookmarking new things on my wish list. It’s been about three years since my last apartment wish list, so here’s what I’m currently lusting after.
Crystals are the new marble, and you heard it here first. Whether you like them for their spiritual properties or just their sparkly attributes, you can’t deny the joy they bring to your day. They are the perfect decor piece and come in so many different shapes and sizes. While I love scavenging for the perfect specimens at my local crystal fairs and antique stores, you can find some beautiful gems and geodes at HomeGoods, Anthropologie, and West Elm.
A new chair
My tufted chair from Ross has finally kicked the bucket after four years of service, so I’m currently on the hunt for the perfect chair. Since my vanity also doubles as my home office desk, I need a chair that’s cushiony yet still structured so I can sit in it for long periods of time. It also has to look good for YouTube!
Drawers, drawers, and more drawers. My favorite acrylic drawers are from MUJI, a dream store for any utilitarian or minimalist. They have all sorts of organizational units perfect for office, beauty, stationery, or other hobbies. The price point and quality are amazing! MUJI stores are hard to come by but I’m fortunate enough to live near one in SF.
Nothing can refresh your bathroom like brand new towels can. I prefer 100% cotton towels in light nude or blush shades, but have never thought much about the texture of the weave. H&M Home has some amazing quilted and jacquard textured towels at the moment that I’ve been dying to pick up. Last spring I visited the Georgetown store and have since been hooked. Unfortunately there aren’t any H&M Home locations in Northern California, but luckily you can shop their collection online!
Thanks for reading! If you enjoy home decor, don’t miss out on my other posts before you go. Additionally, I’ve been getting some questions on where I shop for crystals. Let me know if you’re interested in a blog post on that, because I’d be glad to share!
