I love helping get the word out about great new apps and one app that’s been making some local buzz is Stylematic! Stylematic celebrated their launch with a big party this week at Broadway Studios and it was a grand time. I ran into Jessica and Brandy at the event and we snagged some pretty good seats for the fashion show. We also heard from several inspiring guest speakers, including Hap Klopp, founder and former CEO of The North Face, and Sinead Norenius, co-founder of iFabbo.
STYLEMATIC is a mobile app that delivers personalized style recommendations. Snap a picture or scan the barcode of an item, and we’ll deliver fashionable items to fit your style. The more you use the app, the more personalized your style recommendations become. Stylematic’s network weighs in on your prospective fashion choices to help boost your confidence and personalize your style feed. Discover boots from Japan, heels from Russia, & the hottest fashions in New York simply by using our app.
While I had a few hiccups with the mobile app — barcodes not being found & my profile not rendering — this is a very early stage app and I think they’re going in the right direction. By shifting your fashion discovery on the community and their input, rather than you trying to find barcodes and photos to bookmark your style inspirations from scratch, I think it makes for a more helpful experience and unique product. Definitely check out the portal feed and search feature to see what I mean by that. Download their app for iOS or register on the web to get started!
What hot apps have you been playing with recently? Let me know in a comment so I can check them out!
