Last weekend my good friend Megan and I went to scope out the Cinco de Mayo scene at Soma StrEAT Food Park. This was my first year without work or studying in the way of a little fun on May 5th, so I was thrilled to sample tacos from each of the various trucks and enjoy a few Mexican beers right in my neighborhood. Fun fact: I used to be a Dos Equis promo girl, and while I have represented many different beer and spirit brands, Dos Equis was my favorite! Not only is it a fun brand, but a delicious beer; both the Lager and Ambar! And who doesn’t just adore The Most Interesting Man in the World? Please pay no attention to the conflicting Corona branding that is draped over him in the photo below. I would never allow a competitors’ branding to get in the picture if I was on the job.
As the crowd and food truck lines grew, we decided after a few tacos and drinks to wander over to the Mission for some thrifting and a late afternoon pick-me-up at Bi-Rite Market. We bought some of the best strawberries yet this season, a yerba mate for a much needed caffeine kick, and the obligatory scoop or two at Bi-Rite Creamery. Weekends were meant for splurging, right? One of my favorite things about San Francisco is that anything is essentially walkable if you have time to kill. I think I clocked in at least two hours of walking on our little excursion, enough to work up and partially work off my ravenous tendencies.

Thanks for helping me snap the pics! I’m ready for our next adventure!
This SOMA food court is always such a good time but I’m sure it was especially fun this day and how cool you used to be a Dos Equis girl. I can imagine it was a lot of fun plus they have the best commercials ever

I don’t go there nearly enough for how close to home it is. Never a dull moment with the Most Interesting Man… Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment! 🙂
